Chris Lawson - Varsity Head Coach Coach Lawson spent 25 years as the head boys soccer coach at Rockhurst High School. During his time at Rockhurst Highs School, Coach Lawson led the program to an impressive record of 553-151-25, including 21 final four state appearances (MSHSAA) - 4 fourth place finishes, 7 third place finishes, 3 state runner-up finishes, and 7 state championship finishes. In addition, Coach Lawson spent 3 years as the head girls soccer coach at St. Teresa's Academy. During his time at St. Teresa's Academy, Coach Lawson led the program to 3 final four state appearances (MSHSAA) - 1 third place finish, and 2 state runner-up finishes. Coach Lawson played collegiate soccer at State Fair College, then Park University, as a scholarship student-athlete. He will be teaching Social Studies at Olathe East, starting this fall. Skyler Roush - C-Team Coach
Coach Roush grew up playing soccer in the KC metro area and attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, playing soccer for four years there at the NCAA Division III level. After college, he taught English in Brazil before returning to the KC area to complete his Master's in Education at UMKC. While in graduate school, he taught and coached in the KCKPS district, including as the varsity boys’ soccer coach at F.L. Schlagle. Coach Roush has taught Social Science and ELL in California, Missouri and Kansas. He is excited to join the coaching staff here at OE! |
Keeley O'Grady - Junior Varsity Coach Keeley has coached under Coach Terry Hair and the Olathe East Mens' and Womens' programs since 2004. In that time he has been a C team and Junior Varsity coach, and the Men's Varsity Assistant coach over the last 15 years. He has been teaching at Olathe East since 2001; currently teaching Personal Finance, Management, and Marketing. He attended Creighton University graduating in 1998. After graduating he spent some time working for the former Kansas City Attack. Keeley takes great pleasure in coaching and interacting with each player, students, and their families. "Our parents and players make Olathe East a special place to not only coach but to teach at, I enjoy being part of such a great community. " |
